Jennifer Fell Hayes
Jennifer’s plays, Seal Songs, were performed in the MITF, 2009. She is published by Samuel French and the Dramatic Publishing Company. Seal Song (Deep Water) was performed in the Samuel French Short Play Festival summer, 2008. Nothing In Common was a winner in a previous Samuel French Festival. Her play, Endurance, was one of three winners in the Theatre Resources Unlimited New Plays Reading Series in 2004, and also won the American Theatre Co-Op Playwriting Competition, Chicago, 2007.
She is a member of the Dramatist’s Guild.
Jennifer is director of the drama program at Friends Seminary in Manhattan. She was playwright-in-residence at City Lights Youth Theatre for ten years. She has been Head of the Arts Department at Riverdale Country School, created the Performing Arts Department at the Spence School, and is a recipient of the Yale Distinguished Teachers’ Award 2007.
