Well get your butt to the WorkShop THIS Sunday for a FREE reading of The Heiress by Ruth and Augustus Goetz. Here's the 411:

Presented In Association With Why? Theatre Project

Sunday, February 28, at 6pm

A Sundays@Six Series Reading Presented In The Jewel Box Theater
Free and Open to the Public
Reservations not Required but Seating is Limited

Please join us for a discussion to follow the reading of the play with the theme Independent Woman in Society, moderated by Dawn Elane*. Enjoy wine, hear the reading, and participate in a discussion afterwards!

WorkShop member Alexandra Devin's Why? Theatre Project was created to provide theatre that explores the human condition and experience by examining history through current hindsight. By holding a mirror up to history, we raise the question "Why?": why is this work relevant, why was it written, why do classics still compel us today, and why do we feel the need to shed new light on old issues? Why? Theatre Project chooses to examine our past through both classics and new works, seeking new voices while learning from old ones.

This reading was initiated by Ms. Devin and WorkShop member and Director of Classical Theater, Charles E. Gerber.

WORKSHOP IN THE NEWS:

The New York Times recently spoke of the WorkShop and even quoted our very own Managing Director, David Pincus! It's an article about how the Garment District is turning into a nice little artistic hotbed.

Once again, the WorkShop is leading the way. Congrats, David, on getting in The Paper of Record and thanks to all of you who continually help this theater gain the recognition it rightfully deserves!
